3M Cold shrink inline splice kit is used for splicing three-conductor, armored and non-armored, shielded power cables. It is ideal for 5, 8.7 and 15-kilo-Volts cable with 750 kcmil copper and 500 kcmil aluminum conductor sizes. Kit is used in cable tray, cable rack, cable hangers, junction box, aerial and wet or dry locations for indoor/outdoor applications.
Kit includes three Cold Shrink ™ insulators, seven Scotchcast ™ 2130 Resin Unipak ™ containers, one wrap-around removable mold, three spacer web strips, two F-10 funnels, two funnel supports, two mold straps, two constant force springs, Scotch ™ 13 tape, Scotch ™ 24 tape, one strip of Scotch ™ 25 ground braid, Scotch ™ super 33+ tape, Scotch ™ 130C tape, one Scotch ™ C-2 cable preparation kit, one abrasive cloth and one instruction sheet.
Kit features insulators made of EPDM rubber to provide quick and easy installation. Kit is designed to provide thick, tough replacement for cable armor and/or jacket that is abrasion resistant, moisture resistant and flame retardant. Ground braid requires no special tools for installation.
3MÖ 5760 Series Cold Shrink Inline Splice Kit with 2131 compound, is designed for splicing shielded, 5/8 to 15 kV armored or non armored cables. It is used in cable trays, junction boxes and cable racks/hangers, as well as aerial and wet or dry locations.
