Red Dot Chase® Raintight conduit hub has die cast zinc material construction with aluminum lacquer finish for durability. It measures 2-5/8 Inch x 2.250 Inch. It has a trade size of 1-1/2 inches. Hub has durable plastic insulated throat and machined surface that allows pulling of wire with safe. Chase has a flush locking nipple design that helps to provide maximum space for wiring inside the box. Nipple has tightening lugs on two planes for making assembly with ease in hard to reach field conditions. Hub has a panel thickness of 1/4 inches.
Hub has locking nipple design that allows replacement of the box without disassembling the installation. Knurled teeth inner face of locking nipple rotates 360 deg of locking and bites by box wall that provides to control grounding. Hub features ground screw that is located within the enclosure for providing a device with tamper-proof ground. Captive O-ring size of 227 inches fits snugly in groove with parts that allows preventing groping and loss.
Hub is desired for use in application when the system of NEMA 4 rating is normally hosed down for cleaning purpose. Hub fitting is used for connecting junction box to junction box and junction box to the conduit system. It allows resulting in raintight connection for maintaining the ground continuity. It is suitable for use with rigid and IMC conduit. Hub is UL listed, CSA certified and suitable for use in wet locations.
