Alpha Communications - AF-1000 - Alpha Apartment Intercom System Amplifier (Open-voice type) - Surface-mountable for Intercom System - Plastic

The Alpha Communications® / Pacific AF-1000 Power Pack Amplifier is a self-contained unit not requiring an external amplifier. The AF-1000 is designed for use with certain 6, 5, 4 or 3 wire apartment speaker type stations (such as models 3403, 3404 and 3406) and provides amplification, control and power circuits needed to operate a complete apartment intercom system. Voice volume control and tone volume control are easily adjustable through the screwdriver slot on the front panel. It is also a direct replacement for many of the older Auth 3088 series type amplifiers.

Additional functions include multiple entrance operation with the AF-3600; delayed door timing; post office door lock release; steady or warble call tones.

The intercom amplifier shall be Alpha Communications® / Pacific model AF-1000 or approved equal and shall provide amplification, control and power circuits needed to operate the entire intercom system. The amplifier shall feature integrated circuit amplification, integrated circuit call tone oscillator (supporting steady and warble tone modes). User access to the voice volume control and tone volume control shall be provided for field adjustment.

Unit shall also provide for AC door release with delayed door timing capability. Steady and warble tone options shall be available to identify a call from the entrance panel and/or call button at suite entrance.

Unit shall be able to work with various models of 6, 5, 4 and 3-wire apartment intercom stations similar to models 3403, 3404 and 3406 or others (depending on manufacturer and series).

Low voltage wiring shall be used and positive screw terminal connectors shall be provided for installation wiring.

Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical and building codes.
