The core barrel auger in this kit uses carbide cutting teeth to core through tough frozen soil and pull relatively undisturbed cores inside the barrel. The sampler’s inside diameter is approximately 2, and the slot length on the core barrel enables you to obtain 8 of sample recovery at a time. Take core samples down to a depth of 3 ft. Utilizing the AMS Hex Quick Pin connection system, you can easily connect and disconnect the extensions from the core barrel. Kit includes: core barrel auger, two 1 ft. hex quick pin extensions, two threaded/hex quick pin adapters, SDS-Max rotary hammer drill adapter, Idaho spoon cleanout tool, SST cleaning brush, and a hard-sided carrying case with foam lining. A hammer drill (not included) is required for use.
