Auger down to a depth of five feet in just two minutes – even in the hardest soils! The quick-connect design that lets you quickly connect and disconnect components. Quick-Connect eliminates the problems of stripped or worn threads and the need for wrenches. For regular sampling applications use the Carbon Steel Bit. On all augers, cylinders are stainless steel, 6-1/2” long. Overall auger length is approximately 12”. Cutting edges are stelite hard surfaced, heat treated, and sharpened to a fine cutting edge. If fast breakdown or changeover is important to you, consider AMS’s Quick-Connect system. Unique button and hex coupling connectors allow Quick-Connect augers, cross handles, and extensions to connect and disconnect faster than common Thread-On systems. Keep in mind though, Quick-Connect pieces are not interchangeable with Thread-On handles or extensions and that Thread-On, not Quick-Connect, components and extensions are the only tools compatible with AMS hammer attachments. Caution – Quick-Connect accessories are designed for use with hand augers only. They should never be used in conjunction with the AMS Hammer Attachment. Note: Quick-Connect assembly is cast steel.
