Appleton EDS Series 1-Gang 3-Way Factory sealed front operated tumbler switch has current rating of 20 Amps and voltage rating of 120/277 VAC. Feed-thru switch has malleable iron body and cover to offer enhanced durability. Switch has pre-drilled holes in bottom of bracket to offer direct mounting to control stations with existing cover bolts. Tumbler switch has durable nylon operating handle. Bracket is ideally designed to avoid costly field installation of tapping and drilling to fit circuit identification nameplate. It has zinc electro-plated/chromate/epoxy powder coated finish for corrosion resistance. It measures 3 Inch x 4.690 Inch x 6.130 Inch. The 1-Gang factory sealed front operated tumbler switch has 3/4-Inch hub.
Tumbler switch comes with internal ground screws to offer convenient installation. Factory sealed front operated tumbler switch is explosionproof and dust-Ignition proof. It is ideally designed for use with threaded metal conduits. Switch is suitable for chemical plants petrochemical plants, refineries and other process industries. Tumbler switch eliminates arcing of enclosed switches in ignitable atmospheres during connect/disconnect operation of lighting and light power loads.
Switch has enclosures with external mounting lugs to offer convenient mounting. Switch has smooth/rounded built-in bushing in each hub to offer superior protection to insulated conductor. It has sealing chamber with prewired factory sealed pigtail leads for connectivity. Switch has corrosion resistant, stainless steel hex head cap screws to offer convenient attachment to cover/body/sealing chamber assembly. It is surface mounted. It has horsepower rating of 1 hp at 120 VAC and 2 hp at 240 VAC. It is suitable for area, where ignitable vapors, gases or highly combustible dust is present.
