These friction-ring stem caster kits come with multiple casters and are used for applications where all the casters on a piece of office furniture or equipment need to be replaced. These casters are installed on chairs, carts, fixtures, and similar items used in environments where the casters won't be exposed to heavy loads, chemicals, liquids, or high temperatures, such as offices and retail settings. Soft-wheel casters are less likely to damage hard tile or wood floors than hard-wheel casters, and hard-wheel casters won't grab or snag carpets. Each kit's load rating is the sum of the load ratings for all the casters in the kit. For example, if each caster in the kit has a load rating of 200 lbs. and there are four casters in the kit, then the load rating for the kit will be 800 lbs. Friction-ring stem casters each have a stem that presses into an appropriately sized hole or socket in tubes, pipes, wood, or compatible brackets on furniture or equipment. A spring ring at the end of the stem expands to hold the caster in place once it's installed in the hole or socket. Also known as grip-ring stem casters, these casters are used on furniture or equipment such as office chairs, tables, and medical equipment to allow them to roll as they're being moved or repositioned. Friction-ring stem casters require few or no tools for installation, making them well suited for applications where casters need to be replaced frequently. These swivel casters can rotate 360°, allowing equipment to change directions while rolling.
