Hubbell Electrical / Burndy HYPLUG Type YE-P-FX Compression adapter plug is made of high-conductivity electrolytic copper with a tinplated brite finish for long-lasting corrosion resistance and longer durability. It measures of 5.550 Inch. It is designed for reliable termination of copper conductors when the current capacity of the conductor is downsized, but larger conductor is utilized. It is used for voltage drop protection when copper wires are used having size of 2/0 AWG. It offers high quality connection at a low installed cost and is black color-coded for an easy identification and proper tooling recommendation. The adapters facilitate the termination into existing mechanical setscrew connectors for different stranded copper cables. Plug is UL listed and RoHS compliant.
