Cooper Lighting Air-Tite® Halo® Quickconnect™ Recessed housing has an aperture size of 5 inches and is designed to be used in shallow ceiling applications where 2 Inch x 6 Inch joist construction is used. Plaster frame is made of galvanized steel and allows access to junction box upon removal of the housing. Frame includes regressed locking screw for securing hanger bars, cutouts for easily crimping hanger bars in position and halo name embossed on plaster frame.
Housing features a die-stamped 20-gauge aluminum construction for durability. GOT NAIL! Pass-N-Thru™ Bar hangers can be repositioned to 90 deg on plaster frame and feature pre-installed nail that easily installs in regular lumber. Pass-N-Thru™ feature allows shortening of bar hangers without removing from plaster frame. All-nail bar hangers allow positioning of housing at any point within a 24-Inch joist span. Score lines allow "toolless" shortening for 12-Inch joists.
Recessed housing holds a wide range of Halo® trims and have torsion springs to allow faster installations. Slide-N-Side™ Junction box features 1/2-Inch trade size conduit knockouts along with true pry-out slots that are positioned to accommodate straight conduit runs. Socket made of porcelain comes with nickel-plated brass screw shell for consistent lamp positioning. Thermal protector deactivates fixture if overheating occurs due to improper lamping. It measures 10-1/2 Inch x 7-1/4 Inch x 7 Inch. Housing is UL/cUL listed and meets restricted airflow requirements.
