Cooper Lighting Iris® Low voltage housing is ideal for use with remote transformers that accepts low voltage MR16 lamps. The platform is air tight of prevent energy loss, room drafts, dust marks on ceilings and to reduce sound transmission. It measures 11.875 Inch x 8.625 Inch x 5 Inch. Frame of the platform is made of hot dipped galvanized 20 gauge steel and features integral 1/2-Inch plaster lip. Plaster lip has centerline notches for consistent alignment of units.
Housing is constructed with 22 gauge durable steel to allow more heat dissipation and has matte black to provide a visually dark interior. It has removable lamp adjustment that provides up to 45 deg tilt and 361 deg rotation and can lock into any aiming position. Platform includes standard focus lens for smooth beam patterns. It features GX5.3 base for bi-pin MR16 lamps. The unit is fed from 12-Volts remote mounted transformer.
Platform features No Flex® bar hangers that are captive and feature setscrews to provide positive horizontal locking. Bars span up to 22.5 Inch for 24 Inch spacing of wood and steel joists. Nail less barb and locator lip provides consistence installation height. Platform is thermally protected and IP rated for added environmental protection. Low voltage platform is UL/cUL listed.
