Want to learn about our latest protein L resin? Check out Mab. Select VL resin, with higher binding capacity and more robust alkaline stability than Capto L resins.
Capto L resin is designed for antibody fragment purification, when the fragment contains the kappa light chain.
Capto L resin is available in the following prepacked formats: Hi. Trap Protein L prepacked columns, Hi. Screen Capto L prepacked columns, and Pre. Dictor Capto L 96-well plates.
  • Suitable for the capture of a wide range of antibody fragments such as Fabs, d. Abs, and single-chain fragment variable (sc. Fv) .
  • High binding capacity, low ligand leakage, and selectivity for a broad range of antibody fragments reduces process time and amount of resin.
  • Enables a platform approach to antibody fragment purification.
  • Excellent productivity, process economy, and process design flexibility due to rigid matrix.
  • Hydrophilic base matrix ensures low levels of non-specific binding and low levels of host cell-derived impurities in the elution pool.
  • Fulfills industrial demands for security of supply, robust performance, and regulatory support.
Affinity resin for antibody fragment purification

Capto L combines a rigid, high-flow agarose matrix with the immunoglobulin-binding recombinant protein L ligand, which has a strong affinity to the variable region of antibody kappa light chains.
The high binding capacity and affinity to a broad range of antibody fragments makes this resin an excellent capture platform for antibody fragments containing kappa light chains. Common uses include domain antibody (d. Ab), sc. Fv, and Fab purification.Using this protein L resin

Capto L resin requires minimal optimization and produces high purity in one separation step, resulting in significant savings during process development. This resin is also advantageous in manufacturing, because high selectivity of affinity capture reduces the number of subsequent polishing steps.Streamlined scale up

Scale-up with this resin is straightforward and is further aided by a range of prepacked process development tools, such as Pre. Dictor plates, Pre. Dictor Robo. Column, and Hi. Screen prepacked columns.Successful use in published research

Capto L is used in applications requiring the purification of antibody fragments through protein L affinity chromatography.Compatible empty columns – research scale

Capto L resin is compatible with empty PD gravity flow, Tricorn, XK, and Hi. Scale columns.Compatible empty columns – bioprocess scale

For process-scale applications, recommends Axi. Chrom columns.Convenient prepacked columns – research scale

Capto L resin is available in the following formats:
  • Hi. Trap Protein L prepacked columns: convenient for easy use with a syringe, peristaltic pump, or chromatography system
  • Hi. Screen Capto L prepacked columns, for method and process development
  • Pre. Dictor Capto L 96-well plates, for high-throughput screening or process development
Convenient prepacked columns – bioprocess scale

Prepacked ReadyTo. Process columns are available, eliminating the need for column packing and cleaning validation.
This listing is for package of 1 L.
