Column for desalting and buffer exchange of proteins

PD Mini. Trap G-25 is designed for convenient desalting of biological samples. For increased flexibility, the protein desalting column can be used with either gravity or centrifugation.
When using the gravity protocol, clean-up of the sample is simple. One or several columns can be connected in parallel, and a purification system is not needed. With the centrifugation protocol, the samples are run in parallel in a standard eluted sample will have minimal dilution.
Four adapters are included in each product pack. The adapters simplify centrifugation of these protein desalting columns.
The exclusion limit is approximately M r 5000. This ensures group separation of proteins/peptides larger than M r 5000 from smaller molecules.Successful use in published research

PD Mini. Trap G-25 are used in a variety of research applications, including:
  • Buffer exchange during in vitro assembly of catalase
  • Removal of DTT during study of thiosulfate transfer in Metallosphaera cuprina
