Tests at 30, 000 x g have shown that vessels can break during centrifugation. Eppendorf Safe-Lock Tubes are guaranteed to withstand forces up to 30, 000 x g, allowing you to safely centrifuge without sample loss.
Seal safety!
During incubation in a boiling water bath, only the Eppendorf Safe-Lock Tubes remained safely closed. 10 % to 20 % opened lids were found for the tubes of manufacturers S and A, while T and G e x hibited more than one-third and V nearly 80 % opened lids.

PCR Clean
All Eppendorf consumables with the purity grade PCR clean are DNase and RNase free. The miniscule amounts of genetic substance used for e x periments are therefore protected from DNases and RNases.
It is also guaranteed that the consumables are free of contaminating nucleic acids. This is normally human DNA, which could infiltrate the plastic goods during the production process (e.g. via skin particles).
Absence of PCR inhibitors: Consumables certified by Eppendorf as PCR clean are free of any PCR inhibitors and will not interfere with the PCR reaction.
