Optimal Performance for Traditional/Classic PCR
Thermal. Seal Film

• Designed for basic PCR protocols

Thermal. Seal a 50 µm polypropylene film with adhesive formulations is optimized for specific PCR applications. Traditional film dimension measures 135.1 x 79.4 mm (123.1 mm without end tabs) and offers sufficient sealing area for most PCR plates. Optimal Performance for Traditional/Classic PCR. Thermal. Seal sealing films are not pierceable. For applications where piercing with pipet tips or robotic probes is required for product recovery, see Aluma. Seal II sealing films. Note: Not recommended for PCR plates with narrow or irregular sealing surfaces: Aluma. Seal, Thermal. Seal A, or Thermal. Seal RT series films are better in such instances.
Thermal. Seal Mini. Strips
Thermal. Seal Mini. Strips sealing films are identical to Thermal. Seal sealing films (above), but designed for sealing only one or two 8-well rows at a time on PCR plates or strip tubes. They are now supplied in convenient sheets of four. Each sealing film strip is 97.3 x 19.0 mm, including two removable positioning tabs. The long dimension with tabs removed is 137.8mm. Each package of 200 contains 50 sheets of four sealing film strips.

Thermal. Seal 2 Sealing Films for PCR
These improved films for classic thermal cycling applications consist of a 50 µm polyester film with a 41 µm layer of acrylic adhesive. Compared to the original Thermal. Seal films, Thermal. Seal 2 films offer better adhesion, reduced evaporation, longer end tabs for easier handling, and less tendency to tear during removal from the plate. Each sealing film measures 79.4 x 139.7 mm and offers sufficient sealing area for all PCR plates. Length between the perforations with end tabs removed is 125.1 mm. (Not recommended for raised-rim plates; see Thermal. Seal A films .) Thermal. Seal 2 sealing films are not pierceable.
