This calibrator delivers all the benefits to make verifying your thermocouples productive and effective. The units temperature display and built-in type S thermocouple are system calibrated in our lab for display accuracy of 9F (5C) over the entire range 2192F (1200C). For comparison work, stability is better than 0.9F (0.5C) at 1200C and even better at lower temperatures. Hole-to-hole gradients are also less than 0.5C at maximum temperature. Therefore, with a good reference thermometer and careful comparison techniques, your calibration uncertainties can be less than 1C. A wide variety of inserts are available to maximize productivity and enable comparison work. Thermocouples from 116" to 12" (1.6 to 12.7 mm) in diameter can be used, depending on which of our standard inserts you choose. Each insert accepts as many as six probes. Custom inserts are also available. Each furnace comes with an RS-232 interface and software which lets you control the unit from a Windows environment. For use in the field, the unit includes important features for on-site calibrations. At only 28 pounds (13 kg), it goes anywhere you need it to. This furnace heats to maximum temperatures in just over a half-hour.
