Globe Scientific 5mL MACROcentrifuge Tubes are an efficient and economical alternative to 15 mL conical tubes when working with sample volumes between 2.0 mL and 5.0 mL. All these tubes have the same diameter and conical shape as 15mL tubes, but the shorter 5.0 mL macrocentrifuge tubes reduce pipette shaft contamination since there is no need to insert the pipettor barrel into the tube to retrieve samples.

Choose from either screw cap or snap cap:
Screw Cap Macrocentrifuge tubes are polypropylene with polyethylene screw caps that are single turn threaded caps which seal easily and securely. They are graduated in 0.5 mL increments and are available in either sterile bags or foam racks and non-sterile tubes with caps packed separately.
Snap Cap Macrocentrifuge tubes are all polypropylene and provide the convenience of a 1.5 mL microcentrifuge tube but with a larger 5mL capacity. Attached snap cap facilitates one-handed opening and closing and the pierceable cap allows easy access by needle or syringe. Each tube has dual gradation scales in increments of 0.2mL and 0.5 mL enabling more precise measurement when required. Seven color options give a wide variety for sample identification and organization. Key Features
