Ideal VDV Multimedia cable tester kit is an easy-to-use cable testing and verification device that can quickly test all wiring requirements found in residential and commercial environments. It includes an easy-to-read LCD display with PASS/miswire indicators, wiremap display and troubleshooting modes. It has an easy-to-use push button to select between voice, data and video/security testing functions. It has a tone generator to support four different tones making fault isolation easier and an integrated remote unit to make storage/carrying easier. It uses 9 Volts alkaline battery for power supply. It also features convenient internal storage for remote and has capacity to support additional remotes.
Cable tester is designed for performing comprehensive testing for voice, data and video applications. It test 3-pair USOC and 6-position RJ11/12 jacks for voice cable testing. It performs testing on both shielded and unshielded data cable to T568A/B. It also tests video coax cable for opens and shorts with F-Connector interface. It tests for opens, shorts, miswires, reversals and split pairs. It also identifies voltages on cables.
Tester has an operating temperature from 0 to 50 deg C and storage temperature from -10 to 60 deg C. It has non-condensing humidity range from 10 to 90%. Cable tester measures 5.2 Inch x 2.9 Inch x 1.6 Inch.
