High Performance Chemical Fume Hoods
The e x pansive interior is enhanced by a 43" tall sight line with a 17" in high glass observation panel. Includes frameless vertical rising sash with a 24" clear sash opening. This hood has easy conversion from CAV to VAV use. Includes chain and sprocket sash mechanism for ease in operation. Tempered glass sash with full-length formed steel handle for a neat, clean appearance and streamline air passage. Our fume hoods are UL 1805 listed and are tested in accordance with ASHRAE-110. All hoods are pre-wired to a junction bo x on the roof of the hood with two 120 volt AC 20 amp GFCI receptacles on the side posts, T8-fluorescent light fi x ture with bulb, 20 amp light switch and a duple x for an alarm on the roof. Each front post and interior end liner is punched and capped for up to 5 remote control service fittings. The left hand post is punched and covered for a second electrical fi x ture at the top which may be used for a fan switch or other electrical device. The right post is punched and covered for an alarm. Service fittings, fan switch, work top, cup sink, alarm and base units must be ordered separately.
Fume Hood remote control fittings with needle valve consist of a brass angle valve with a replaceable seat, an epo x y coated brass nylon color-coded panel flange with angle serrated hose connector, a remote control rod assembly with a plastic flange and a tank nipple, locknut and washer. Fittings may be used on either side of hood. Fi x tures shipped loosed for installation at the job site by mechanical trades.
E x ternal Vacuum Breakers are designed to be used with any INSTOCK fume hood. Fi x ture shipped loose for installation at the job site by mechanical trades.
Each INSTOCK fume hood is pre-punched for the fast and easy installation of this alarm. The monitor provides a digital readout of fume hood face velocity and sounds an alarm when the airflow falls below safe levels. Consisting of a thermostat sensor (mounted through the side wall of the fume hood) and a monitor (mounted on the fascia), the unit gives both a visual and audible alarm. The monitor also contains test/reset button allowing the user to verify alarm readiness. The monitor is shipped loose for field installation.
The Fan Blower Switch is a manual fan motor starter switch, toggle style, single pole, with a red pilot light, stainless steel cover plate and 1 thermal unit. Fi x ture is shipped loosed for installation at the job site by mechanical trades.
Bench Fume Hood Work Surfaces are 1 1/4" thick modified black epo x y resin work surfaces are required for all bench hoods and are dished to retain spills. Cup sinks are sold separately.
Bench Fume Hood Adjustable Height Ceiling Enclosures are three sided ceiling enclosures designed to fill the space between the top of a fume hood and the ceiling up to 24" in height to provide a clean finished appearance. The enclosure can be cut to fit and includes a slip to fit ceiling finish trim angle.
A Gravity Sash Stop is a safety and energy conservation measure. It may be mounted at any distance above the lower deflector vane to keep the sash from rising past that point. When needed, the stop may be pivoted out of the way for the safe passage of the sash.
