ELISA: Not Tested.
WB: Reactivity to a ZEBOV (Mayinga) ebolavirus infected He. La cells and uninfected He. La cells was evaluated by Western Blot. Western blot detection was also performed to determine the cross-reactivity of the antibody to virus like particles (VLPs) of Zaire and Sudan ebola virus (ZEBOV and SEBOV) and Marburg virus (MARV) e x pressing glycoprotein, nucleoprotein and VP40.
Storage: 2-3 weeks +4°C, -20°C long term.
Specificity: Antibody detects L-polymerase at the size of appro x imately 240 k. Da in the He. La infected lysate (Lane 2), but not the control uninfected lysate (Lanes 1).
Cross Reactivity: Western Blot analysis shows that the antibody very weakly detects a band in 2 µg of MARV VLPs between 30-40 k. Da but not ZEBOV and SEBOV VLPs. Also, in addition to detection of the e x pected L-polymerase, the anti-L antibody weakly detects two bands in the uninfected He. La lysate between 35-52 k. Da. The target of this reactivity is unknown. Reactivity of the antibody to L polymerase of other filovirus species is also unknown.
