The JET® Drum Sander with Stand keeps adjustments simple to help save time. With the tool-less parallelism system, you can easily position the worktable with a turn of the dial, eliminating the need to maneuver the drum. The built in quick-stop indicates when your table is parallel to the drum. The variable speed rate permits you to choose the best feed rate providing flexibility with projects. To optimize the performance of the sander, the Sandsmart™ feature monitors the load on the drum motor, by automatically regulating the speed of the conveyor motor, to maintain the highest feed rate without overload. The dust hood is engineered to maximize dust collection, keeping chips and dust away from the work piece and finish, to help produce cleaner results. The conveyor system pulls the work piece through the sander on a reinforced steel bed built for durability. With conveyor belt TRACKERS™, the need for manual belt adjustments is reduced increasing productivity. The aluminum drum is engineered to dissipate heat, helping to protect the work surface from damage. In addition, a 1/16” height adjustment of the drum equates to one rotation of the hand wheel, making it easy to reset and calculate the relative depth scale for each job. With the tool-less take up clips and roomy carriage, changing the abrasive is quick to help reduce downtime. To increase stability, the stand has a 20” x 37” footprint with built in storage shelf and pre-drilled holes for casters.
