Designed for infection control and patient health information security, the KSI-1700 SX HB-21 is a hospital-grade, disinfectable keyboard with integrated proximity card reader and our patented LinkSmart® cleaning button.  The keyboard features a durable surface with low-profile keys that discourage the collection of dirt and germs beneath and around keys.

A simple push of KSI’s LinkSmart® cleaning button is all it takes to temporarily disable keys while an end user disinfects the keyboard surface.  San-a-Key® software’s onscreen, animated keyboard schematic then guides keyboard cleaning until the entire surface is clean.   Hospital administrators can count on user-defined, scheduled cleaning options and pop-up reminders pushed to all desktops to ensure KSI keyboards are kept clean 24/7.

The keyboard’s rfIDEAS WaveID® Plus proximity card reader is compatible with leading healthcare single sign on authentication platforms, including Imprivata®, HealthCast, and many more.  Component integration allows for a clean, uncluttered desktop, longer life, and less chance of a standalone reader being stolen, broken, or lost.  Designed for customers seeking to leverage their existing card system for applications beyond physical security, integrated RFID features plug-n-play functionality, with no required software.  The proximity card reader now reads four credential types, an enhancement over our legacy -16 product line.  Credential types can be configured in the specific priority order you choose.
