The hoses resist abrasion and have transparent walls that allow users to see materials flowing through the hose. These hoses are used in food-manufacturing, pharmaceutical-manufacturing, plastics-processing, and pneumatic-conveying applications. Food and beverage hose assemblies are primarily used to transport edible dry food and drinkable (potable) liquids in industrial food- and beverage-processing applications. They are made from materials that meet or exceed FDA and USDA sanitary standards for food contact.
