Provides rapid digestions for nitrogen determination of 1 to 25 samples up to 2 grams using 250 ml tubes. Constructed of 25 individual ceramic heaters surrounded by 1" thick insulation board housed in chemically-etched aluminum casing with two fold-down handles. A heater element is encapsulated in each heater module. Five RTD platinum temperature sensors are encased in the ceramic and send signals to the controller. Capable of reaching 410º C in less than one hour. Separate controller has power switch and a solid-state stepless temperature control knob, factory calibrated from ambient to 450º C. Features a 6-foot electrical cord and 7-foot electrical line to connect the digestor to the controller. Electrical plug is required (not included). Includes carrier rack made of aluminum alloy with two plastic handles and two removable heat shields. Requires 250 ml Digestion Tubes and fume removal system (not included). Operation inside a fume hood is strongly recommended.

25-Place Fume Removal System is required for use with Labconco Rapid Digestor-25. Consists of borosilicate glass manifold with 25 bulb eductors precisely aligned to rest atop the digestion tubes. Manifold is encased in aluminum housing with plastic handle. Includes water aspirator for use with 40 psi water pressure and 2' rubber connecting hose. Average water consumption is 2.5 gpm. Aluminum support stand and drip pan are also included.
