For labs with limited space, this enclosure is ideal. Clean-Sweep air foil allows air to sweep the work surface for ma x imum containment. Airflow openings pull inflow air from under the air foil so that clean air continually flows through the air foil creating a constant barrier of protection from contaminants. The side-entry air foils allow air to sweep across the interior glass surfaces, enhancing containment. Upper sash foil bleeds air into the enclosure to protect operators from harmful vapors or particulates. 8" sash opening limits e x haust demand, conserves costly tempered room air and requires a smaller remote blower than most fume hoods. Upper dilution air supply introduces room air at the top of the sash to dilute concentrations in the upper chamber and bathes the back of the sash with clean air.
The rugged enclosure is constructed of a glacier white and gray, dry powder epo x y-coated aluminum frame. A steel rear plenum and baffle dissipate static charge while increasing durability and corrosion resistance. No unreliable plastic-to-plastic bonding is used. Ergonomic 20° angled sash allows a closer view, reduces glare and provides a more comfortable operating position than vertical sashes. The hinged sash pivots upward and locks to a loading height of 20". Two utility ports with iris openings allow passage of tubing, electrical cords and interface cables from inside to back e x terior for connection to services.
All models include either a built-in GuardianT 1000 Digital or a Guardian Jr. Airflow Monitor with low voltage electrical cord, power pack and plug. 115V/60 Hz (230V/50 Hz models are available). All models require connection to a remote blower or a FilterMate Portable E x hauster and a work surface with supporting base. XPert Easy-Order include a Balance Enclosure, a FilterMate Portable E x hauster with HEPA filter and a black solid epo x y dished work surface.
