The Labnet FastPette Pipette Controller features a high aspiration speed of 25 mL in four seconds, which can also be adjusted from high to low to match the volume of the pipet and viscosity of the liquid. Plus, users can adjust the suction by the amount of pressure applied to the trigger button. Dispensing can be done by gravity or supported by the pump, which empties the pipet with a blow-out step. The pipet controller is suitable for use with both glass and plastic pipets.
The ergonomic design of the FastPette™ pipet controller includes a lightweight handle and smooth push-buttons and conveniently located switches. The controller is protected from the entrance of liquids by both a PTFE filter and a safety valve. Both the filter and pipet holder can be exchanged and autoclaved to protect samples from cross contamination.
On a full charge, this battery-powered unit can be used continuously for eight hours. A low battery light indicates when it needs to be recharged. If the charge runs out during operation, adding the power supply allows work to continue. The battery is protected against over charging by timing and thermal systems.
