Ferraz Shawmut Amp-Trap® EJ-1 Point detonating fuse is made of metal that provides long lasting durability. It is a type of low resistance resistor that acts as a sacrificial device to provide overcurrent protection. Fuse is surrounded by air or by materials intended to speed the quenching of the arc and silica sand or non-conducting liquids are used. It measures 2 Inch x 14.180 Inch. Fuse operates at a voltage rating of 15.5 kilo-Volts.
Mersen fuses for the protection of transformers and distribution lines deliver overload and short circuit protection. These current-limiting fuses will melt at current that can be as low as 1.7 times the fuse current ratings up to its maximum interrupting rating. These fuses are designed to withstand the transformer magnetizing inrush current.
