Meyer Base Line tailgate spreaders offer contractors economical ice control. BL-400 is available in a 6.3 cu. ft. capacity and is easy-to-use and perfect for small- to medium-sized jobs like icy walkways and long, snowy driveways. The Base Line easily attaches to any vehicle with a 2" receiver hitch and are especially appropriate for SUVs, light pick-up trucks, tractors and utility vehicles. An integrated motor guard protects the 1/8 HP electric motor and serves as a storage stand when the spreader is not in use. The direct-drive system links the 1/8 HP 2-speed motor directly to the auger, creating up to 75% more auger power than non-direct drive set-ups. The motor provides superior clump-busting performance, and its marine-style electrical plug keeps the water out to ensure consistent electrical flow from the vehicle's battery. Spreader comes with a lid with heavy-duty, easy-to-use locking straps. With the touch of a button, the highly intuitive and reliable variable speed (fast, slow and vibrate) touch-pad controller is easy to use and delivers a precise spread-pattern of up to 25 feet. The 9" spinner diameter is adjustable from 0 - 9. Simply press the "faster" button, and then view the illuminated speed on the face of the control pad. The hoppers are made of rust-proof, high-density polyurethane, while the hopper frames are powder coated with automotive style paint, and the motor is protected by an integrated motor guard made of tubular steel. 2 Year Limited Warranty.
