The geneLEAD VIII has three operational modes for versatile sample processing; Complete nucleic acid e x traction combined with PCR/nucleic acid e x traction only/PCR only. GeneLEAD VIII software allows the programming and storage of user-specific PCR protocols.
Instrument Fle x ibility
The geneLEAD VIII utilizes MagDEA D x e x traction reagents optimized for total nucleic acids or total RNA from a variety of sample types. A ma x imum of eight samples can be processed in parallel, while the PCR program can be selected individually for each sample. Real-time PCR is performed in eight independently controlled thermal cyclers with fluorescence detection across si x different channels
User-Friendly Operation
The geneLEAD VIII is operated from an e x ternal PC and can be connected to the central server using a dedicated LIMS compatible software. Prefilled, ready-to-use, reagent cartridges simplify user setup and waste management. The software guides and prompts the user to ensure a proper and valid test setup. Onboard barcode and QR code reading ensure traceability and integrity of samples, controls, and reagents.
Safety Considerations
geneLEAD VIII was designed with today’s laboratory safety concerns in mind. The instrument is equipped with a HEPA filter to remove airborne contaminants during testing and a UV decontamination lamp for post-process sterilization.

The instrument utilizes magDEA D x SV magnetic bead chemistry for total nucleic acid e x traction and is open-platform for user specified qPCR or other other detection analysis. Samples, reagents and consumables are placed in the instrument and the assay is started. The instrument is open platform for qPCR and other Upon completion the nucleic acids are transferred to the PCR well, and the PCR master mi x is added and qPCR thermal cycling started. Results are analyzed and reported directly by the instrument and can be accessed remotely using LIMS system.
