Use the Rice Lake Weighing Systems® cast iron grip handle calibration weight for routine calibration of scales or verification checks. Painted weight has an adjustable sealing cavity. Typical application is field standard for testing industrial weighing devices. Class F weight includes CA documentation (statement of accuracy is a statement of the class of weight). These cast iron weights undergo a phosphatizing process in which the metal is thoroughly cleaned and mildly etched to allow finish adhesion. The weights are then coated with a layer of chip-resistant paint which conforms to NIST Handbook 105-1 standards. This 2-step process ensures a long-lasting finish helps to reduce corrosion. • Nominal value marked on weight • Weight capacities of 10 kg/20 lbs. and up meet NIST Handbook 105-1 and Handbook 44 specifications • Metric weights designated by gold paint • Avoirdupois weights (lbs.) designated by silver paint • Serial numbers may be stamped on weights Classes Available: • NIST Class F • ASTM Class 6 and 7 • OIML Class M1 and M2 Applications Include: • Field standards for testing industrial devices Class III, Class IIlL, or IIII • Testing for nonmarked scales without Class designation • Verifying scales are within specified accuracy and tolerances
