They are used in the oil and gas industry for tasks such as drilling, processing raw materials, and pump maintenance. Cold-condition insulated gloves are worn when handling cold items (such as packaged frozen food) and when working in cold environments. CE cut-rated gloves meet EN 388 standards for cut resistance. Cut levels are indicated with the numbers 1 to 5 or letters A to F with higher values (5 and F) indicating greater cut resistance. CE impact-rated gloves have been tested on a pass/fail scale to indicate whether they protect workers from injuries to knuckles caused by impact. Riggers-style gloves are reinforced with features to protect workers' hands, extend glove life, and increase visibility in heavy applications such as demolition, construction, and oil rigging.
