The instrument is simply held against motor, turbine, pump, compressor, or other rotating equipment and the speed is shown by the vibration of a steel reed which is tuned to a certain standard speed. Ruggedly constructed, permanent accuracy, simple to use. The instrument imposes no load and cannot be damaged by overspeeding. Accuracy is 0.5% of rated speed.
