Polypropylene bristles resist water, chemicals, solvents, oil, acids, and bases and maintain their stiffness when wet. These long, tubular brushes are typically mounted underneath conveyors to clean belts, chains, and other components. They sometimes are mounted on top of conveyors for cleaning, deburring, sorting, or positioning items. Cylinder brushes are long, tubular brushes that mount onto conveyors to clean the conveyor belt and clean, brush, and position items as they move along the belt. Also known as rotary brushes, coil brushes, and spiral brushes, cylinder brushes each consist of a strip brush wrapped around a cylindrical core. Brushes with shorter bristles are stiffer and are good for aggressive applications such as heavy cleaning. Brushes with longer bristles are more flexible and are suitable for gentle applications such as positioning light objects or dusting.   • The " RB" series are conveyor cylinder brushes coil wound with polypropylene bristles. Brushes are close wound with a dense brush face. The brush is mounted directly to a 16 gauge steel tube with collar ends for easy mounting to a 1" shaft. Collars are made with set screws and keyways and extend 1" from the brush face on each end. Cylinder brushes are effective for cleaning conveyor belting and chains, debris removal, material transporting, and product positioning.
