General purpose nylon strip brushes with rigid direct-mount backing each have densely compressed bristles that are securely held in a rigid backing that keeps its shape better than flexible brush backing. Nylon bristles provide good resistance to wear and abrasion and are effective when used in wet or intermittently hot environments. Strip brushes with direct-mount backing, also called stapled-set strip brushes, have integrated plastic holders. Mount them directly to conveyors to guide and separate items on the conveyor and clean debris from conveyed items and conveyor belts and parts.
