The hose carries coolant from the engine to the heater core in order to warm up the vehicle. This hose is suitable for use in performance motors and vehicles, marine wet-exhaust systems, commercial truck and bus induction and cooling systems, agriculture and off-highway vehicles, and turbo-diesel vehicles. It is made from silicone, which provides excellent resistance to high temperatures, ozone, and UV rays. It also resists electrochemical degradation. This silicone hose meets SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) standard J20 for heater hose. Heater hoses carry coolant between a vehicle's engine and its heater core in order to warm up the vehicle's interior. They are a part of the vehicle's cooling system that keeps the engine from overheating and malfunctioning. These hoses are made from materials that can withstand exposure to the chemicals and additives used in vehicle cooling systems. These small-diameter hoses are reinforced with nylon cords to strengthen the hose.
